The British Council East Asia Education Week held from 5 to 7 March 2025 in Hong Kong brought together 760 senior higher education leaders, UK Vice-Chancellors, education agents, and UK alumni from East Asia to explore opportunities for collaboration, research, and innovation between the UK and East Asia.

UK Higher Education Mission to Hong Kong: We hosted a UK delegation of 13 university vice chancellors in Hong Kong, the first in a decade. They met with HK counterparts, explored research and education partnerships and discussed collaboration challenges with local stakeholders.

East Agents Education Agents Conference: Following a successful 2024 event, this conference informed 120 agents about post-election UK international education policy, AQF progress, and leveraging technology. Attendees networked and gained crucial insights for the evolving industry.

East Asia Alumni UK Symposium: The inaugural East Asia Alumni UK Symposium 2025 united 228 alumni to discuss culture, economy, and development under the theme ‘Shaping your future’. We also launched a digital publication celebrating their achievements. Discussions focused on navigating the evolving professional landscape.
