Your work in class will be supplemented by access to our IELTS Coach marking service, which offers personalised feedback on your writing as well as advice on how to improve. The course ends with a full-length practice exam to help you assess how well you might perform in the actual exam.
Speaking consists of nine hours of in class instruction, covering all three parts of the test. You will practise in class, working with fellow students while receiving feedback and guidance from your teacher. The lessons focus on how to improve your performance in the four criteria, including Fluency and Coherence, Lexical Resource, Grammatical Range and Accuracy and Pronunciation. The course ends with a practice exam to help you assess how well you may perform in the actual exam.
Listening and Reading
You will spend nine hours working on these two skills in class. Your teacher will guide you through the most challenging parts of the Listening and Reading papers, identifying the strategies and techniques that will help you correctly answer all questions types. The in class instruction is supplemented by access to our IELTS Reading and Listening app, which offers 30 45-minute lessons with animated tutorials and structured practice with IELTS question types. Students will also complete Listening and Reading practice tests to help you assess how well you may perform in the actual exam.
Short Duration
We understand that although you may not have the time to complete a longer course you still want to prepare as best you can. This 27-hour course runs for 3 weeks enabling you to get ready for your next step in the shortest time possible.
Strategies
IELTS Coach Express will help you focus on the exam strategies you need in order to be successful on the IELTS test. You will become familiar with the test format and learn how to approach different sections of the test. Our British Council in-house materials cover all question types and include useful tips for the exam. Cambridge English authentic examination papers will allow you to put these strategies into practice.
Consolidation
As well as the intensive 27-hour lessons you will also take part in a 6-hour intensive one-day IELTS exam skills workshop as part of the course.
This workshop will serve as a revision of the most core elements of the IELTS test. You will begin with a general overview of the exam before moving on to studying listening and reading in the morning (receptive skills) and writing and speaking in the afternoon (productive skills). You can also use this comprehensive workshop as a chance to learn some key techniques to use in the exam, as well as to ask any remaining questions you have.
